Upcoming Events

  • Jun 01, 2024, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    Whittier Public Safety Building, 660 Whittier St.
    Volunteers will be building new trail. This will involve brushing, grubbing out the corridor, and installing some boardwalk. This trail will connect the future city park site to the existing Horsetail Falls trail. Volunteers will meet at the Whittier Public Safety Building. BBQ to follow!
  • Jun 01, 2024, 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
    Williwaw Fish Viewing Platform, Girdwood, AK 99587, USA
    The goal of this project is to perform light trail work along parts of the Trail of Blue Ice near Portage. Tasks will involve cleaning bridge and boardwalk structures of accumulated pine needles/duff, brushing, and potentially brushing campsites in the Williwaw Campground.
  • Jun 19, 2024, 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM
    Russian Jack - Polar Bear Playground, 799 Pine St, Anchorage, AK 99508, USA
    Volunteers will help finish building the new mountain bike trail in Russian Jack Park so it can officially open in July. No experience is necessary and all tools will be provided.
  • Jun 22, 2024, 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    Prospect Heights Trailhead, Prospect Heights Trailhead, Anchorage, AK 99516, USA
    This project involves brushing and a lot of tread/drainage work. The trail needs to be brushed back to the trail standard in many spots and a stretch of trail is in need of better drainage options and treadwork. Gravel will be brought to harden the trail and fill in deeply entrenched sections.

    Russian Jack - Polar Bear Playground, 799 Pine St, Anchorage, AK 99508, USA
    Volunteers will help finish building the new mountain bike trail in Russian Jack Park so it can officially open in July. No experience is necessary and all tools will be provided.

    Upper Huffman Trailhead, Sultana Dr, Anchorage, AK 99516, USA
    This project involves drainage, structure demo, and some brushing. The main focus of the event is establishing good drainage to eliminate the muck holes.
