The goal of this project is to brush the Russian Jack bike trails using weed whips, rakes, handsaws, and loppers. Hiking is easy with no more than 1.5 miles total hiked for the event.

About the event
Volunteers will meet at the Polar Bear Playground parking lot of Russian Jack Springs Park at 6:00pm and return at 9:00pm. Volunteers will be brushing the Russian Jack bike trails using weed whips, rakes, handsaws, and loppers and may address trail tread issues as well.
What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day).
What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.
Notes: Hiking will begin at the Polar Bear Playground parking lot and at the most will involve 1.5 miles of hiking on an easy grade. No experience is necessary, but volunteers should have a minimum ability to hike and work for 3 hours during potentially inclement conditions. This event is open to volunteers age 12 and up.
