Volunteers will meet at the Rabbit Lake trailhead at the top of Canyon Road in Chugach State Park. Volunteer work will include improving drainage and brushing.

About the event

Volunteers will perform brushing and drainage work on this trail. Volunteers will meet at the Rabbit Lake trailhead.


What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day). 


What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.


Notes: Hiking will be easy to moderate and no more than 6 miles expected for the day. No experience is necessary, but volunteers should have a minimum ability to hike and work for 6 hours during potentially inclement conditions and on uneven terrain. This event is open to volunteers age 12 and up. Volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian present.
