Volunteers will be biking out to brush out trail corridor on this well-used trail in Chugach State Park. Volunteers will meet at the Glen Alps Trailhead, lower parking lot.

About the event
Volunteers will be biking out Powerline Pass to brush out trail corridor using hand saws and loppers. Volunteers will meet at the Glen Alps Trailhead, lower parking lot, at 8:45 am. Work will begin at the the Hidden Lake trail junction, 2.4 miles from the trailhead. At this point, volunteers will stage their bikes either in the bushes or lock them at the bike stand located at the Hidden Lake Trail junction. It should take approximately 20 minutes for everyone to bike to this trail junction and about 15 minutes to bike back to the vehicles.
What to bring: A bike and helmet, rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day).
What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.
Notes: This is an easy/moderate bike where you will be carrying tools as well. Volunteers must be physically fit enough to complete this bike to and from the work site and the full day of work.
