North Bivy Trail Improvements Take 1

The goal of this project is to brush the Moose Ridge Trail in Far North Bicentennial Park, North Bivy using handsaws and loppers to clear alders and other shrubs from the trail. Hiking is easy to moderate with no more than 2.5 miles total hiked for the event.

About the event
Volunteers will meet at North Bivouac (aka North Bivy) Trailhead at 6:00pm and return to the trailhead at 9:00pm. Volunteers will be brushing the Moose Ridge Trail using handsaws and loppers and may address trail tread issues as well.
What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day).
What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.
Notes: Hiking will begin at North Bivy Trailhead, and at the most will involve 2.5 miles of hiking on an easy grade. No experience is necessary, but volunteers should have a minimum ability to hike and work for 3 hours during potentially inclement conditions. This event is open to volunteers age 12 and up.
