Horsetail Falls Connector Trail - Take 3

Volunteers will be building new trail. This will involve brushing and grubbing out the corridor and constructing new tread. There will also be parts where some step and run boardwalk will be installed as well. Volunteers will meet at the Whittier Public Safety Building. BBQ to follow!

About the event
Volunteers will be building new trail. This will involve brushing and grubbing out the corridor and constructing new tread. There will be a lot of light and moderate rockwork to be done for construction of partial fill/bench trail and switchback structures. There will also be parts where some step and run boardwalk will be installed as well. Horsetail Falls connector trail will connect the future city park site to the existing Horsetail Falls trail. Volunteers will meet at the Whittier Public Safety Building at 9 am. Be sure to catch the 8:30-8:45 am tunnel. Bring a change of clothes and stick around for a post work BBQ.
No experience needed. All tools and protective equipment will be provided. Children allowed, parent/guardian will need to manage them.
What to bring: Rain gear (rubber boots and rubber rain gear recommended), snacks, water, sunscreen, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses…
