Volunteers will be hiking to brush out trail corridor on this ATV access trail in Chugach State Park. Volunteers will meet at the ATV lot on the north (left, as you drive in) side of the road, across from the Eklutna Lake Campground.

About the event
This project will consist of volunteers hiking, brushing, and adding drainage to the ATV Access Trail. From the trailhead, volunteers will brush back alders and vegetation to the edge of the trail and add drains in a few problem areas. Volunteers will park at the ATV lot on the north (left, as you drive in) side of the road, across from the Eklutna Lake Campground. The trail is less than half a mile from end to end.
What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day).
What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.
Notes: This is an easy hike on sometimes muddy and uneven terrain where you will be carrying tools as well. Total hiking for the…
