Volunteers will be re-treading portions of the Devil's Pass trail, clearing and reforming drainages, and removing some roots and rocks from more eroded sections of trail. Volunteers should have the ability to hike up to two miles and use basic handle tools.

About the event
Volunteers will be doing tread work on the Devil's Pass Trail in Chugach National Forest. There are various spots along the trail that need attention. Some spots have waterbars that need cleared and redug. Some areas have large rocks or roots that need to be removed and then re-treaded. There is a vertical drain along larger sections that needs to be cleared of debris and some backslope that needs to be re-formed. Volunteers will meet at the Devil's Pass Trailhead (called Devil's Creek on Google Maps).
HIKING INFO:
The hike will be from the trailhead up to the first two miles of Devil's Pass trail. There will be uneven ground and some incline.
WHAT IT TAKES:
