Volunteers will be brushing out trail corridor on this well-used trail in Chugach State Park. Volunteers will meet at the Bird Valley Trailhead. Volunteer social with free beer from Midnight Sun Brewing Co. to follow the event.

About the event
Volunteers will be brushing out trail corridor using hand saws and loppers. Volunteers will meet at the Bird Valley Trailhead at 9:45 am. This trail is also known as the Bird Creek Falls Trail. Following the event will be a volunteer social with free beer and a food coupon at Midnight Sun Brewing Co.
What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day).
What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.
Notes: Volunteers will hike between 2-3 miles total. This is a moderate hike where you will be carrying tools as well. Volunteers must be able to hike in steep, uneven terrain and have a good attitude. Also, bear awareness is always important and volunteers will need to have spatial awareness when working near the bluff edge.
