The goal of this project is to improve trail tread and drainage on the April Bowl Trail in Hatcher Pass State Park. Hiking is moderate with no more than 1.5 miles total hiked for the event.

About the event
Volunteers will meet at the April Bowl Trailhead at Arctic Valley at 9:30am and return to the trailhead at 3:30pm. Volunteers will be improving the trail tread and drainage.
What to bring: Rain gear, sturdy work/hiking boots, snacks, water, sunscreen, long work pants, and work gloves and safety glasses if you have them (if you don't have gloves/safety glasses they will be provided for the day).
What NOT to bring: Alcohol, drugs, children, pets, and firearms.
Notes: Hiking will begin at the April Bowl Trailhead and at the most will involve 1.5 miles of moderate hiking. No experience is necessary, but volunteers should have a minimum ability to hike and work for 6 hours during potentially inclement conditions. This event is open to volunteers age 12 and up.
