Chugach State Park Access Service Area - "CASA"

The Chugach State Park Access Service Area (CASA) was created by the voters of Anchorage when they voted in favor of Proposition 6* in the April 2023 Municipal election. No funds were tied to this initial vote, it simply created a mechanism by which Anchorage voters could dedicate funds toward Chugach State Park access infrastructure in the future.

What's good about "CASA? - At Alaska Trails, we believe all Anchorage residents and visitors should be able to access Chugach State Park via safe roads, well-planned trailheads and maintained trails. We think trailheads should have sufficient parking, clean bathrooms and clear and concise signage. CASA gives Anchorage voters the opportunity to choose to fund these types of projects.
