Welcome to Alaska Trails' website. We are a trail advocacy group for all of Alaska, working to build and preserve trails for trail users, from hikers to four-wheelers. News and Upcoming Events

• House of Representatives considering massive cuts to bicycle/pedestrian facilities and the Recreational Trail Program (a critical trail funding program for Alaska). Read more in this month's Action Update.

• Alaska Trails executive director Erin McLarnon has resigned to become the communications director for the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race.

• Though it isn't in Alaska, we recommend you check out the REI/Conservation Volunteers International Program trip to Torres del Paine, Patagonia for a trail maintenance vacation.
