May 8 Bethel - Wet Crossings Advanced Trail Training
 

Come learn about the 9-step Best Management Practices framework for trail hardening in lowland Alaska. This class will teach technical elements on trail assessment techniques and provide detailed technical guidelines for trail hardening. Participants in the class will walk away with additional references that will support their trail management responsibilities or future projects

Palmer - Sustainable Trail Design & Layout

Hey Valley trail people, bring your trail savvy self to learn more about sustainable trail design and layout with the experts! There will be classes for folks new to trail work and for people looking to further their knowledge of designing and laying out better, more sustainable trails or how to solve problems on existing trails.

When & Where: Training begins Friday, May 30 at the Valley Mountain Bikers and Hikers (VMBaH) HQ from 6-8pm and continues on Saturday, May 31 at Crevasse Morraine Trailhead from 9am-4pm

Bring your work gloves, work boots, long pants and a daypack with water, food and extra layers including rain gear.
